Halloween 2009

Halloween was so much fun. We had such a busy day. The day started out with Josh running the Provo Halloween half marathon. Then we headed over to Provo park and took family pictures. We took pictures in our Halloween costumes, pictures in our Real Salt Lake gear, and then just pictures in our normal clothes. After pictures we headed to the Real Salt Lake playoff game. Madison got to parade on the field in her costume with other little kids. They were also handing out candy at the game. The game was awesome. RSL won 1-0. After the game we went to my dads house and went trick-or-treating. Madison and I ran from house to house. She really enjoyed it this year. We left Erik at my dads because he was done for the day. He was so tired. After trick-or-treating we went home and watched "The Burbs" with My brother in laws Andrew and Jake and their girlfriends Ali and Rachel.

Eriks 1st Birthday

We celebrated Eriks first birthday with family on October 8th. I can't believe he is already one. The more kids I have the faster my life flys by. He is such a funny kid. He loved his cake. He had no problem diving right into it. He didn't really understand openning presents too well. Madison liked helping him open presents. Everything goes into his mouth though. He enjoyed tasting his wrapping paper as you can see. Life is just going for us. I am super excited for all the holidays coming up. Halloween is in a week and a few days. I love Halloween. So far all I know is Madison is going to be Snow White. I don't know about the rest of us yet.

4 Year Anniversary

June 11th was our 4 year anniversary. In the past we haven't done much for our anniversary but this year we headed to Idaho. The inspiration for this trip to Idaho was not originally for our anniversary, but for a marathon Josh had signed up to run in on June 13. So we combined the two occassions into one trip.
On June 11th we dropped the kids off at grandmas and headed up to Idaho. Just having time alone without kids is a good enough anniversary celebration for me. We were heading to Rexburg Idaho. We stopped off at Bear World and that is where these pictures are from. Bear World was really neat. There was a gift shop and a little place you could walk through and see animals and feed baby bears. Then there was a little drive-thru area where bears came up to your car. It was fun.
After Bear World we just headed to our hotel to check in. We dropped off our stuff and then went through town to find something to do. We then went bowling. We were the only ones at the bowling alley. We played three games and it only ended up costing $22. It was way cheap there.
Then we headed back to the hotel to go swimming. We swam and relaxed a little bit in the hot tub and then it was bedtime.
The next day (June 12) we went to see the movie "The Land of The Lost". It was a funny movie, but it was kind of dumb all at the same time. We went bowling again and then we went to Idaho falls to go shopping. Rexburg is really small and they didn't have many stores there. We got back from Idaho Falls around dinner time. We went to the Potato Bake dinner that they had at the Madison Middle school for the runners the night before the race. Josh was running the marathon and I was running the 5k. The dinner was really good and I won a T-shirt in the raffle drawing that they did.
June 13th we had to wake up at 4 in the morning so Josh could be at the High School where the buses picked up the runners to take them to the starting of the race. I drove Josh to the high school and then I went back to the hotel to get some more sleep. Josh's race started at 5:30 and then my race started at 8:30. I ran the 5k in 34 minutes and Josh ran the marathon in 5 hours and 7 minutes. We had a really good time. We were both extremely sore the next day.

RSL made the playoffs!!

Josh and I are huge RSL fans!! We went to the Oct. 18 game at the new stadium. RSL played FC Dallas that night; both teams fighting for a playoff spot. RSL won that game 3-1. RSL's victory threw FC Dallas out of the running for playoffs. On Oct. 25th RSL played Colorado Rapids @ Colorados home field. All RSL needed was a tie or a win to make playoffs and throw Colorado out of the running for playoffs. The game started out rough. In the 19th min. Colorado scored a goal and at halftime the score was 1-0 in favor of Colorado. Near the end of the game it looked like the end for RSL. In the 90th min. Yura Movsisyan scored a goal tying the game and after 5 min. of stoppage time the end result was 1-1. RSL had finally made the playoffs..... YAY!! And the new stadium is AMAZING!!

RSV

RSV
Last week Erik started getting sick and by Wednesday he sounded awful. I took him to the doctors Wednesday and found out that he had RSV. His oxygen was low so they admitted him to Davis Hospital. We ended up being there until Saturday. It was an absolute nightmare. Erik did pretty well, but it was extremely boring. Not to mention they are in the middle of construction over at the hospital. Our room was right above part of the construction. We could hear everything. The floor even shook. Most of the nurses were nice, but a few of them hardly ever came in to check on Erik. I just hope we never have to go through this again. I'm so glad to be home, but I am so paranoid now about keeping germs away. RSV can come back again and again. It truely haunts me to even think about it.

Josh and Madison napping

Josh and Madison napping
Josh fell asleep first and then Madison climbed on his back and went to sleep. They like to nap together. She also likes to hug things when she sleeps. In this case she is hugging the phone.

The only good thing about snow is sledding. We love sledding and so does Madison. She walked up this huge hill by herself. She would hurry up and jump back on the sled so that no one else would take her sled. She is so funny.
