4 Year Anniversary

June 11th was our 4 year anniversary. In the past we haven't done much for our anniversary but this year we headed to Idaho. The inspiration for this trip to Idaho was not originally for our anniversary, but for a marathon Josh had signed up to run in on June 13. So we combined the two occassions into one trip.
On June 11th we dropped the kids off at grandmas and headed up to Idaho. Just having time alone without kids is a good enough anniversary celebration for me. We were heading to Rexburg Idaho. We stopped off at Bear World and that is where these pictures are from. Bear World was really neat. There was a gift shop and a little place you could walk through and see animals and feed baby bears. Then there was a little drive-thru area where bears came up to your car. It was fun.
After Bear World we just headed to our hotel to check in. We dropped off our stuff and then went through town to find something to do. We then went bowling. We were the only ones at the bowling alley. We played three games and it only ended up costing $22. It was way cheap there.
Then we headed back to the hotel to go swimming. We swam and relaxed a little bit in the hot tub and then it was bedtime.
The next day (June 12) we went to see the movie "The Land of The Lost". It was a funny movie, but it was kind of dumb all at the same time. We went bowling again and then we went to Idaho falls to go shopping. Rexburg is really small and they didn't have many stores there. We got back from Idaho Falls around dinner time. We went to the Potato Bake dinner that they had at the Madison Middle school for the runners the night before the race. Josh was running the marathon and I was running the 5k. The dinner was really good and I won a T-shirt in the raffle drawing that they did.
June 13th we had to wake up at 4 in the morning so Josh could be at the High School where the buses picked up the runners to take them to the starting of the race. I drove Josh to the high school and then I went back to the hotel to get some more sleep. Josh's race started at 5:30 and then my race started at 8:30. I ran the 5k in 34 minutes and Josh ran the marathon in 5 hours and 7 minutes. We had a really good time. We were both extremely sore the next day.

RSV

RSV
Last week Erik started getting sick and by Wednesday he sounded awful. I took him to the doctors Wednesday and found out that he had RSV. His oxygen was low so they admitted him to Davis Hospital. We ended up being there until Saturday. It was an absolute nightmare. Erik did pretty well, but it was extremely boring. Not to mention they are in the middle of construction over at the hospital. Our room was right above part of the construction. We could hear everything. The floor even shook. Most of the nurses were nice, but a few of them hardly ever came in to check on Erik. I just hope we never have to go through this again. I'm so glad to be home, but I am so paranoid now about keeping germs away. RSV can come back again and again. It truely haunts me to even think about it.

Josh and Madison napping

Josh and Madison napping
Josh fell asleep first and then Madison climbed on his back and went to sleep. They like to nap together. She also likes to hug things when she sleeps. In this case she is hugging the phone.

The only good thing about snow is sledding. We love sledding and so does Madison. She walked up this huge hill by herself. She would hurry up and jump back on the sled so that no one else would take her sled. She is so funny.
